This group of work depicts figures that merge together and suggest replication and/or connection. The replication of the figure suggests cloning, which I use to investigate memory, representation, and the genre of portraiture, revealing the inaccuracies of capturing real people through the illusory devices of painting. I am interested in the tension between the intimacies of private domains, whether bodies, or living environments, and the intrusive forces which interrupt them.
